About Beanna
I am currently a Grade 12 student who excels academically, especially in Mathematics-related subjects. In my latest academic ranking, I ranked 4 in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Strand in my grade level. In addition, my general average in my Math subjects is 96. Besides my academic performance, I also have prior experience in the field of teaching as an experienced Student-Teacher Apprentice in my school for the past two years.
As a dedicated STEM student with consistently strong academic performance in Mathematics, I bring both knowledge and a genuine understanding of the challenges students face. In fact, I am aware of the notion that Mathematics is a common subject dreaded by many students. Thus, I want to utilize my knowledge and skill to aid learners who are in need of help. Above all, it inspires me when I can support effective learning and share meaningful knowledge.
Furthermore, I prioritize patience, clear communication, and a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is to help every student build not only stronger academic skills, but also the confidence to approach problems independently.
Ultimately, I believe that all students, no matter the number presented in their report cards, has the potential to achieve great learning in Mathematics through the help of an effective educator. Thus, I know that I can be that teacher—-and I want to be that teacher.

I believe that effective tutoring is not just about giving the correct answer, but rather about helping students understand why the answer is correct, so that they won’t only achieve surface-level learnings, but gain deeper understanding of the concepts. Thus, I adjust my teaching style according to each student’s learning pace, current knowledge, and areas for improvement.
Depending on the students’ learning style, I can use various teaching methods such as step-by-step explanations, simple examples, visual aids, practice problems, and guided problem-solving. I encourage students to try first-hand problem solving and explain their own reasoning so I can identify misconceptions and help them build confidence in solving problems independently. Moreover, I help students appreciate their knowledge better by applying lessons in real-life and relatable scenarios.
The standard lesson that I follow begins with a short review of previous concepts, followed by an introduction to the new topic. This introduction may be composed of a short ice-breaker to energize my students. Afterwards, I then explain the concept through examples before guiding the student through practice problems. To summarize the topics, I can give independent exercises and reflection questions for students to grasp the important ideas.
Based on my current educational background, knowledge, and capability, I can contribute most to the learning of elementary, junior high school, and senior high school students, particularly those who need support in Mathematics-related subjects such as Algebra, Arithmetic, Computing, Statistics, and Basic Geometry. I can help with foundational concepts, homework, exam preparation, and strengthening areas where students may be struggling.
As a current Grade 12 STEM student with consistently strong mathematics performance, I understand the challenges students face when learning difficult concepts. Since I am also a student, I can explain topics in a relatable and approachable way rather than relying solely on technical explanations. My personal trait of being patient also allows me to become a more open-minded, reliable, and student-centered educator. Ultimately, my goal is not simply to help students get answers, but to develop their understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence.
