About Reave
I am a recent IBDP graduate with a score of 43/45, including a 7 in Chemistry HL, as well as an A* in IGCSE Chemistry. Having recently gone through both the IGCSE and IB Chemistry courses myself, I understand the demands of these programs and the challenges students can face when tackling difficult concepts and exam questions. I am passionate about helping students develop a genuine understanding of Chemistry while also building the confidence and exam skills needed to achieve their goals. I take a patient, approachable, and personalized approach to tutoring, adapting my lessons to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. My approach to tutoring is focused on making Chemistry clear, engaging, and exam-oriented while building a strong understanding of the concepts behind each topic. As a recent IBDP graduate who achieved 43/45 points, a 7 in Chemistry HL, and an A* in IGCSE Chemistry, I understand the challenges students face firsthand and can explain difficult concepts from a student’s perspective. I typically structure lessons around a combination of clear explanations, worked examples, active problem-solving, and exam-style questions, with particular emphasis on understanding how to approach unfamiliar questions and avoid common mistakes. Lessons are usually 60-75minutes depending on the student’s level and needs. I teach both IB and IGCSE Chemistry, from students building their foundations to those preparing for important exams and aiming to achieve the highest grades possible.
