About Annie
I achieved a 99.00 ATAR, received a scholarship to study Law at the University of Melbourne, and ranked in the top 3% of Arts students in my undergrad. Additionally, I’ve also completed over 300 hours of tutoring experience. I really enjoy helping students break down tasks, understand what’s being asked, and express their ideas clearly and effectively, which is what good writing is all about!

My teaching approach is focused on helping students comprehend and, subsequently, write with clarity and purpose. With a tertiary qualification in both English and Literature, along with completing my Arts undergrad in Criminology and Philosophy, I bring strong analytical and critical thinking skills into my teaching of English and essay writing. One of the key aspects I focus on is to tailor each of my lessons to suit the requirements of the students, using the strategies I have practiced to improve argument structure, textual analysis, and writing flow. My goal is to build an environment where students can actively keep learning and improve their overall engagement with English at school or university.

Annie has been absolutely superb to work with, so much so that I had her tutor both my younger siblings and a family friend in preparation for their end-of-year exams too (year 12 and year 9, respectively). Her communication and preparation before lessons were both highlights, and her experience studying law certaintly helped when it came to running through argument structures for English essays.
