About Kayla
Outside of academics, I have plenty of experience working with kids through babysitting and dance volunteering. I am currently in dance, dedicating 4-5 hours a week to the sport. I’ve also volunteered at a rodeo concession stand for two years, which taught me how to handle fast-paced environments, work hard, and communicate well. On top of that, I’m certified in Standard First Aid, CPR, and Workplace Safety. Overall, I’m reliable, patient, and really organized, so parents can feel confident their kid is in good hands;)

My name is Kayla, and I’m a Grade 11 student from Alberta. I’ve earned Top Honours for five consecutive school years and have several years of experience working with younger kids through babysitting and dance volunteering.
In a typical session, I would start by going over any notes or review you were working with in class, break down and explain any confusing topics in your preferred method, and then do some practice questions until it feels solid or do a quick knowledge check.
I really enjoy helping others, especially when I know my strengths can truly benefit someone else. Everyone learns in different ways, and I am always open to teaching through diagrams, graphs, reading aloud, forming acronyms, explaining a topic in relation to a hobby or interest, and more. My main tutoring subjects include (elementary/middle school for all) math, algebra, biology, physics, chemistry, and science. I am also suited to teach history and social studies but I would need a heads up as topics greatly differ by area and grade. I am aiming for a relaxed and easygoing environment so learning never feels overwhelming:)
