About Aria
To introduce myself, my name is Aria, and I'm a third-year undergraduate student in an interdisciplinary major program at New York University. I study a combination of sociology, applied psychology, critical theory, and participatory action research. My program has enabled my enrollment in several writing and research-based coursework and programs.
Some of my tutoring qualifications include a 35 ACT score, two years of experience in writing center tutoring, and various research roles (such as through NYU's Center for the Humanities Fellowship, and as a research assistant).

My writing and support style draws from an interdisciplinary background, as I use philosophy, sociology, critical theory, and creative writing experience to inform my format and writing structure.
My lesson plans focus on argument design, drawing from college level essay evaluation to emphasize efficient and concise writing that directly addresses the prompt. My ample research experience (largely centered in psychology and sociology) have enabled my mastery with literature review styles of writing. Meanwhile, I use experience in critical theory and creative writing disciplines to add a layer of originality and thoughtfulness that ensures writing goes beyond the limitations of AI generated writing.
My skills and lesson plans cater towards a middle to high school level student, though I am flexible.
