About Juliette
I am a History student at Durham University with a genuine love for learning and helping others succeed. Many people assume that attending a university like Durham means my path to academic success was easy but the reality was very different. As a teenager, I struggled significantly with several subjects, including English. I often failed to achieve the grades I needed and, as a result, lost a great deal of confidence in my own abilities. At times, academic success felt out of reach. However, through persistence, self-reflection, and hard work, I learnt how to learn. I developed effective revision strategies, improved my writing and analytical skills, and gradually rebuilt my confidence. Over time, I achieved results I once thought were impossible. This experience shapes the way I tutor. I understand how discouraging it can feel to fall behind or doubt yourself, and I know that progress is not about intelligence, but about the right guidance, structure, and encouragement. My lessons are patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus not only on improving grades, but on helping students develop confidence, independence, and a belief in their own potential.

I offer 1-1 online tutoring sessions for GCSE and IB students designed to improve grades, confidence, and writing skills. For GCSE students I focus on reading, text analysis, and essay structure, as well as exam technique and preparation. For IB English (SL and HL) I work through paper 1 & paper 2 skills, internal assessments, and developing confident, academic writing. All lessons are fully personalised. Whether you’re preparing for exams or aiming to boost your grade, I create a supportive and structured learning environment to help you succeed.
