About Matthew
I am a 21 year old Chemistry undergraduate at Durham University who has always been interested in the sciences. I am sporty and outgoing and have always found there to be a keen interest for me to understand why things happen as opposed to being told and accepting this as a fact. Therefore I feel that it is important that in my lessons I explain why the things which you are being taught happen, as I feel that this will really help you to grasp the content.
I was one of those students at school who always had to work extremely hard and do lots of practice to do well in exams, therefore I am a firm believer that I need to find every individual students' own way to revise and then fine-tune my teaching methods to you as an individual.

For students like myself, who learn best through hands-on question practice, these lessons will enable you to both learn all of the relevant content whilst also guiding you through its application to your exam questions. It was this practical approach to revision which helped me to achieve 3 A* at A-level and seven grade 9, two grade 8 and an A at GCSE. Typical lessons will be an hour long and will involve an initial review of material which you are struggling on before we then apply this material to a range of exam questions, before going-through the model answers and reviewing our performance. These lessons are available for any level up to and including A level.
