About Jesse

My name is Jesse Devries, I've been running my tutoring business, Devries Tutoring, for 6 years now. I take pride in helping those that have been left behind or fallen through the cracks of public education. It is my mission in life to revive the social contract and purpose of education: to ensure the next generation has it better than I do. I see my career as an educator as a part of who I am. I believe results matter, transparency is integral, and in reviving the importance of learning and curiosity. I am passionate and love education, I enjoy learning about new people and teaching them new ways to solve problems both on the paper and in life.

About the lesson

I am offering high-quality tutoring sessions geared around preparing for and improving scores on tests. Primarily this is geared from PSAT, SAT, ACT, GED, and tests of that level and nature. I can also work with students to improve test-taking skills in general. I am able to assist in subjects of Math, Science, History, and English language arts. I can work with whatever your schedule is, my prices are negotiable based on the circumstances, and you can rely on me to work hard to bring you results that you can feel good about. I have access to all of the curriculum necessary to instruct for any and all of these tests, I can also work on whatever material you bring as well. When taking lessons with me, you can expect the following things: I'll always be there when you need me, I am invested in the success of the student, and I have 6 years and over 5000 hours of experience to offer, all of which contribute to my high rate of success. My rates are 50-75. I charge 40 an hour for the first session to make sure I'm a good fit and I can assess the needs of the situation. I am always flexible and negotiable on price.
