Rebeka and I have been working together at Green River College for several years. Rebeka is an outstanding instructor of philosophy and has given clear, thoughtful lectures to my international students who are learning English. She effectively teaches critical thinking skills and actively engages her students in and out of the classroom. She’s a dynamic teacher who deeply cares about her students and employs equitable practices that benefit all her students. I also work with Rebeka on Guided Pathways, a college committee to ensure student retention and success. Rebeka always has thoughtful questions and answers, and she puts time and effort into making beautiful materials that all her colleagues can use. I highly recommend Rebeka on Superprof!
I have worked with Rebeka at Green River College for over ten years. She received tenure there in 2018. Her primary concern has always been pedagogy and her students. She has a way of connecting with a class few of her colleagues can emulate, drawing the motivational and intellectual connections her students need to succeed with the subject matter of our discipline. I haven't seen her teach one-on-one, but I'm confident she'd make a top-rate tutor.
I too am and SFSU alumni. I had the pleasure of sitting in on one of her classes during her Masters program, and enjoyed the way she taught because I retained the information in a subject matter I was not perusing.
As a friend, I flew to Taiwan to visit her. There, I had the pleasure of sitting in on a class in her study abroad program. In both instances, Rebeka takes great pride in her curriculum, the way she engages students, and how they interact back. I highly recommend her.Rebeka is a remarkable and passionate philosophy teacher. I have known her since we were both in graduate school together in 2009.
She is extremely helpful and goes out of her way to help students succeed and learn the material. I have had the honor and privilege of being her colleague since 2013. Ever since, I've seen her in action helping countless students learn about and study philosophy, religion, feminism and gender studies.View more recommendations
