About Dan
In the last decade I have learned that tutoring is a skill all on its own. Simply knowing the subject matter is not enough. It is important to me that my students actually enjoy our time together, so I try to keep it casual and fun.
In my experience I have discovered that lecturing and note-taking doesn't work as well as an interactive 1-on-1 discussion between you and me. As we talk, I will have you make a set of flashcards instead of taking notes. I have found that once a student understands to concepts, they simply need to reenforce their wrote memorization to do well in class.
I will cater my instruction to your ability and level of interest. We will focus on improving grades, taking exams, and writing papers.

I cater my lessons to the individual student needs. I try to keep it casual and fun. All study plans are based directly on the student's class syllabus and instructor notes. A typical lesson includes a discussion to understand the concepts in context, including flashcards for wrote memorization when necessary. I can also help with papers and other writing assignments.
