About Richard
I have worked in further (college) and higher (university) education for the past ten years, during which time I have closely supported students in a variety of subjects, although mainly in English and English Literature. I have also tutored a number of school and college students in general education. My primary area of expertise is in English, but I am available to tutor across all of the humanities subjects, including History, Geography,Modern Studies, Psychology and the theoretical (written) elements of Music and Art and Design. I also offer support with English for academic purposes (EAP), study planning and support, and proof-reading.

I aim to develop knowledge and understanding through problem-solving, creative thinking and creating new learning processes with the learner. I allow the learner to direct the pace of learning at first, increasing as they make progress.
