About Chantel
Being born with a birthmark on most of my face has allowed me to realize the uniqueness of every single human being. With that being said, every human differs in ways of learning, especially a new language. Therefore, I believe in teaching students according to their pace and intellect level and developing their creativity along the way. I am a patient and understanding person who knows that every achievement takes time and perseverance. Having a great work ethic and being determined has allowed me to succeed in everything I put my mind to and come out on top. I am a strategic and realistic thinker. My leadership skills make me proactive, a great motivator, and a goal setter. Being a friendly, humble, and compassionate person allows me to be more empathetic and caring. My morals and values are those of trust, honesty, and respect. Being a quick thinker honed my quick problem-solving skills. I believe in self-improvement and inner strength that can inspire, influence, and ignite growth. It’s been my dream to make a real difference in people’s lives and I believe that I can make that dream come true with forward thinking and a modern approach to teaching & mentoring pupils throughout their academic life.

I use the TPR method (Total Physical Response) as I believe it makes the lessons more fun and engaging. I rarely sit when I give a lesson because I believe it helps to better grasp the learners' attention for the duration of the entire lesson. I have high energy levels to keep the learners engaged in the lesson and I also try to uplift the spirits of the learners if they are having a bad day so that by the time our lesson is finished they "leave my classroom" with a bright smile on their face.

Perfect! I am very happy with Chantel, she is so patient with my daughter. She is now interested in reading, her spelling has improved and she is becoming confident now.
