About Georgia

I'm a trained Actor with a passion for linguistics and accents, and the skills necessary to help you unlock English!
I have personal experience of how hard it can be to learn a foreign language, having learnt French in three months while living in Montpellier and working as an English teacher. I know how scary it can be and how important immersion and practice are, and I'm here to help you through the nitty-gritty, idiom-maze, grammatical nightmare that can be the English Language!
I have years of experience working with both adults and children in educational and informal settings, and I am fully DBS checked.

About the lesson

The fastest way to accelerate your knowledge is with one to one, focused help from a qualified and experienced teacher. If it’s English you’re learning, then immersion is the best way and through my years of experience I have found that learning about the topics you’re interested in, immersed in the language you’re learning, is absolutely the best way to do it. I learnt French this way, and so I know first hand how it feels to be learning a new language! In my lessons I like to focus on talking about your interests, so that the language feels relevant to you, and the topics are something you’re interested in! I can correct grammar and syntax as we go and where there are areas that require a bit more support we can do specific exercises to iron out those creases.

Perfect! Georgia is an excellent English teacher who really knows how to tailor each lesson to your goals. Her clear explanations, focus on listening and pronunciation, and her ability to switch between academic English and different regional accents (including South Standard and Welsh), make the sessions practical and especially helpful for real-life conversations. She makes the lessons feel relaxed and friendly, and you can really notice your confidence and communication skills improving over time. If you want a teacher who is adaptable, knowledgeable, and truly invested in your progress, Georgia is an exceptional choice.

Georgia is such a star and wonderful knitting tutor - kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Well, it started with knitting and progressed into patch work and blinds, apparently there isn’t anything Georgia can’t help with…. She creates such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, and always takes the time to explain things clearly, no matter your skill level (mine was non-existent!). Her passion for knitting and crafts really shines through, and she makes every session enjoyable as well as inspiring.
