About Myah

Hello! My name is Myah, and I’m a TEFL-certified English tutor from South Australia. I have over three years of experience teaching English, with a strong background in working with both children and adults — particularly individuals with disabilities. This has given me a deep understanding of how to create supportive, inclusive, and personalized learning environments. My goal as a tutor is to help you feel confident and comfortable using English in everyday life. I’m patient, adaptable, and committed to helping you reach your goals—whether that’s improving your speaking, preparing for travel or work, or simply becoming more fluent. I bring strong communication skills, empathy, and a calm, encouraging presence to each lesson. I believe learning should be engaging, practical, and tailored to your interests. No matter your level or learning style, I’m here to support you with a professional approach and a friendly attitude. I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

As a TEFL-certified English tutor with over three years of experience, my teaching approach is flexible, student-centered, and supportive. I’ve worked extensively with both children and adults, particularly individuals with disabilities, and this has taught me the value of adapting lessons to suit each learner’s pace, preferences, and strengths. My lessons typically last 1 hour or more, depending on the student’s needs and goals. I use a mix of visual aids, conversational practice, structured grammar support, and real-world examples to make learning engaging and practical. I also believe in using topics that interest the student—whether that's travel, daily life, music, or job preparation—to keep lessons relevant and enjoyable. My background in teaching people with disabilities has helped me develop strong communication skills and creative teaching strategies, which I apply to help all learners, including beginners or those with confidence barriers, feel comfortable and make steady progress. I teach learners of all ages and levels, from young beginners to adult students seeking to improve their conversation, writing, or exam skills. Whether you're learning English for travel, study, work, or daily communication, I’m here to help you reach your goals at your own pace.
