About Funmilayo

I am a passionate and dedicated Phonics and Early Years teacher, TEFL certified and trained in Jolly Phonics. I have experience teaching young learners how to read, pronounce, and blend sounds confidently using proven, child-friendly methods.
My teaching style is warm, patient, and engaging. I create a supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable to participate, make mistakes, and grow. With my Jolly Phonics training, I use actions, songs, stories, and multisensory activities to help children remember sounds easily and develop strong reading skills.
I am committed to building a solid foundation in English for every child, helping them progress from letter recognition to fluent reading with confidence and joy.

About the lesson

My Phonics lessons are designed to help children build a strong foundation in reading, pronunciation, and spelling through fun, interactive, and engaging activities. I teach letter sounds (A–Z), blending, segmenting, and simple word reading in a way that is easy for young learners to understand and enjoy.
I work with Early Years and Primary pupils, using songs, pictures, games, and repetition to make learning memorable. Each lesson is child-friendly, lively, and structured to suit the child’s pace and learning style.
My goal is to help children gain confidence in reading, improve their pronunciation, and develop a love for learning English from an early age. Lessons are available online and can be one-on-one or small group sessions.
