About Miayah

Hello! I’m Miayah.

I am a native English speaker from London, England. I am a university graduate with a BA Honours in Politics with Human Rights and a MA in Gender Analysis in International Development.

I am a certified TEFL tutor with four years experience teaching all levels and ages. I have taught English in a variety of contexts, including as an online tutor and a Senior Education Worker for an Education Charity.

As your teacher, I am here to mentor and inspire you throughout your English language journey. Whether your goal is to become fluent in English, prepare for exams and job interviews or enhance your communication skills, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

Format:

I offer individual and group lessons using Zoom video conferencing.

Teaching Method:

My teaching method varies for each student to ensure my lessons are as helpful as possible and suit your learning style.

Conversational Class: If you are looking for a more relaxed, conversational class to practice and improve your English, we can have some fun and engaging conversations, whilst improving your fluency and accuracy of the English language.

Traditional Approach: However, if you are someone who prefers a more traditional approach, I have some great learning materials from some excellent course books and can provide homework exercises too.

In my class I will:

- Make sure you feel relaxed and confident to participate in activities.

- Help you with pronunciation and error correct where necessary.

- Help you to improve the 4 English skills (reading, writing,
listening and speaking).

- Enhance your skills in grammar.

My one goal as your teacher is to help you along your English language journey in an engaging and creative way, ensuring you are progressing as much as possible!
