About Paul
Hello and welcome! My name is Paul, and I am an American based in the United States. I am so excited to help you achieve your English learning goals. I am TEFL certified through the International TEFL Academy and hold a NJ State TESOL license certified to Teach English as a Second Language. I also have an advanced proficiency in Spanish, which means I not only teach English, but I can also tutor in Spanish. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and nearly 30 graduate credits in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL). Over the last 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching middle school, high school, and adult learners, both in the U.S. and internationally. My teaching is rooted in inclusivity, ensuring every student’s prior knowledge and experience, traditions, and culture are valued and integrated into lessons.

My lessons are student-centered, interactive, dynamic, and often project based, which means I like to use real-life authentic materials relative to your learning goals. In addition, I use higher-order thinking strategies to strengthen your reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, while also making learning fun and engaging. I specialize in English for Academic Purposes, Conversational and Business English, Public Speaking and Debate. We’ll work with American pop culture (music, film, current trends) alongside your cultural experiences, so you not only learn English—you live it.
