I don't directly implement my methods on the students. Firstly, I let them do the problem by themselves, if their method is right and not that lengthy then it's fine with me but if they need some guidance with their method then I show them mine. in this way, they can easily figure out what's wrong with their method and they can easily adopt the new one rather than directly forcing the new methods on them
