About Marissa
"Economics often presents itself as a dry collection of graphs when it is actually the pulse of human decision making. Although I have completed my degrees in BCom Economics and Actuarial Studies plus a BSc in Data Science at UNSW, I initially struggled to relate these abstract theories to actual market movements during my early studies. After 13 years working in the fintech and quant sectors, I see how these models dictate daily reality. I have helped 46 students navigate the complexities of macroeconomics and market efficiency over 8 years of teaching.
My background allows me to strip away the jargon and show the raw logic behind market structures. I am confident in my ability to simplify the most dense analytical frameworks."
