About Irene
Working professionals often come to me when they need to find their voice in a high-pressure environment. I recall standing on stage in Guadalajara, learning that singing in Spanish requires a specific connection to the body that translation simply cannot replicate. My 21 years of experience and Diploma of Music from JMC Academy provide the structural backbone for my instruction. Having taught 397 students, I understand that every voice has its own unique resonance and set of challenges. I prioritize tone and resonance alongside the technical demands of vibrato control and belting. You will also find that I am deeply rooted in the traditions of Latin music which informs my teaching style. Singing is visceral. I enjoy helping students navigate the complexities of diction and articulation to bring their songs to life. It is rewarding to see how a clear understanding of breathing control changes everything.
