About Mae
As a Chemistry tutor with over five years of experience and an MSc in Supramolecular Chemistry, I bring a passion for materials innovation. I focus on polymers, composites, and nanomaterials, areas where chemistry drives real-world progress. My lessons often use case studies to make these topics practical and relatable. Students see how plastics or advanced composites are applied in industries from packaging to space exploration. I guide them to understand how chemical structure dictates material function. This insight makes even complex subjects easier to approach. My teaching is relaxed, with room for curiosity and exploration. I value questions and encourage students to think critically about what they learn. Over the years, I’ve helped many learners grow both in skill and confidence. I aim to make chemistry enjoyable while connecting it to future challenges. Together, we can uncover how chemistry creates the materials of the future.

My method for teaching Chemistry is straightforward: explain, practice, and review. I use clear theoretical explanations as a foundation. Targeted drills then help students apply what they’ve learned. For AP Chemistry, I integrate frequent practice exams to build familiarity and confidence. Complex problems are broken down and practiced until they feel comfortable. I also include experimental analysis, showing how data connects with theory. Lessons are supportive, encouraging curiosity and persistence. Each session is tailored to the student’s pace and goals. I believe steady practice is the key to improvement. Progress is tracked carefully, with feedback at every stage. Confidence grows as students see their skills improve over time. I provide the tools and support needed for exam success. Together, we’ll focus on building knowledge, strategy, and confidence for high scores.
