About NAZANIN

I’m a UBC Engineering student with three years of tutoring experience in West Vancouver and North Vancouver schools. I graduated from West Vancouver Secondary School (WVSS) with honors and an IB certificate, and I’ve also worked as a senior mentor, helping younger students succeed academically.

I’ve been an IELTS tutor for over a year, and with my own IELTS score of 8.5 overall (9.0 in Speaking), I understand what it takes to achieve top results.

I focus on helping students truly understand Math, Chemistry, and Physics, and English rather than just memorizing — so learning feels more natural and less frustrating.

Whether we meet in a public library or online, every session is tailored to your learning style and academic goals. You’ll receive a custom note package summarizing our discussions and practice questions to strengthen your understanding. If you’ve got a test coming up, we’ll focus our sessions on helping you excel and reach the grade you want.

Plus, I also offer instruction in Persian for students who feel more comfortable learning in Farsi.

About the lesson

My Typical Lesson Plan Review previous material or homework (5–10 mins) Introduce new concepts using clear explanations, visual aids, and real-life examples (15–20 mins) Work through problems together to build understanding (15–20 mins) Independent practice — students solve similar problems on their own, with guidance if needed (15–20 mins) Wrap-up and Q&A to clarify any remaining questions (5–10 mins) Lessons usually run about two hours, which allows enough time to cover material thoroughly and practice effectively. (Shorter sessions can be arranged if needed.) Who the Lessons Are For My lessons are designed for middle and high school students (Grades 7–12) studying Math, Chemistry, or Physics. Whether you’re getting ready for exams, struggling with coursework, or just aiming to strengthen your understanding, I tailor each session to your specific needs and learning style. Classes are held in person at a public library or online. I focus on active learning and conceptual understanding, helping students connect theory to real-world examples. After each session, I provide a note package summarizing key points and 1–2 practice questions for review. I also offer lessons in Persian for students who feel more comfortable learning in Farsi.
