About Thomas
Holding a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music gave me the theory, but 13 years of gigging across the American South taught me how to actually play. Do you ever wonder how some people just make the guitar sound like a living breathing extension of their own voice? I started out playing acoustic sets in small venues before open mic regulars kept asking for tips on my technique. These sessions led to a career path helping teens and absolute beginners get their hands moving on the fretboard.
Teaching people to play is now a core part of my musical life. It is rewarding to see someone finally nail their first rhythm pattern after weeks of frustration. I focus on electric technique, ear training, and the fundamentals of tuning or maintenance so you do not have to worry about the gear. You might want to stop by and play a few chords with me sometime.

Real music happens when you can play the songs you actually love. Playing a song you choose is the fastest way to learn. I turn your favorite song requests into simplified arrangements that match your current ability.
We focus on rhythm guitar, strumming patterns, and basic songwriting structures. Reading sheet music is included if you want it, but the ear remains your best tool.
I use my Berklee training to strip complex tracks down to their essential parts. You get a clear, practical path forward without any unnecessary fluff. My lessons are casual, motivating, and strictly focused on getting you to play.
