About Swathy

I take French class and studied up to B2 level I am interested to teach French for students interested to learn French language through online for students to learn and complete Delf, school students academics like(apprenons le français, encore tricolore,... Etc)

About the lesson

My teaching method will be examples, spoken French, interaction, conversation, teaching grammar, pronunciation, from basics to advanced level. I will teach slow and steady for the student comfort and clear the doubt now and there and I give some assignments tasks for them for clear course and I will also keep some small presentations with the students.

Perfect! Swathy madam is excellent in terms of evaluating where the kid is at, and what help the student needs and methodically upskilling them. My son who goes to 8th grade ICSE started his French tuition with Swathy madam just a month ago and already his approach and mindset to the language has completely changed - and he looks forward to learning new topics these days. Hope there are more committed and skilled teachers like her! Highly recommend her classes!!

Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
My interest in the French language developed during my early school years, when I was fascinated by its musicality and rich cultural heritage. I pursued French studies academically. This journey deepened my appreciation for the language and its nuances, inspiring me to share this passion with others.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
My motivation to teach stems from my own inspiring teachers who ignited my love for the French language. Their enthusiasm and dedication showed me the impact a good educator can have on a student’s life. I want to create that same transformative experience for my students, helping them discover not just the language but also the culture it represents.
How does your work help society?
Teaching French helped bridge cultural divides and fosters understanding in a multicultural world. By equipping students with language skills, I empower them to engage with French-speaking communities, access more information, and expand their global perspective. This contributes to a more connected and empathetic society.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
A role model for me is Pierre Bourdieu, a French sociologist whose work emphasized the importance of culture and education in shaping society. His insights inspire me to cultivate an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and motivated to learn, just as he advocated for in his research.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring French cinema and literature. I love to cook and experiment with French recipes, which allows me to bring a taste of culture into my home. Additionally, I enjoy hiking and photography, capturing the beauty of nature and often seeking inspiration in my surroundings.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
One memorable moment was when a student shared their experience of visiting France after a few months of learning with me. They were able to converse with locals and navigate the culture in a way they never expected. Their excitement reinforced my belief in the power of language learning and the real-life applications it can have.
