About Ilona
Hi! I'm studying a Bachelor's degree at the University of Otago and enjoying every moment of it. My teachers inspired a strong love of learning in me from a young age, and this is something that I hope to share with my students.
I passed NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3 with Excellence endorsements, and was awarded a scholarship in Media Studies and an outstanding scholarship in English.
Helping students realise their potential is something I take great pride in and would love to share with you.

I encourage students to tell me what they would like to achieve from tutoring, and turn their goals into a list of lesson objectives that I will plan the lessons around.
Lesson time can be flexible depending on a student's individual needs, but I like to teach for a maximum of an hour at a time, as student interest and focus levels tend to dip after an hour.
I have been a peer tutor since high school, helping students from lower or equal year levels with their assignments and understanding of how to approach NCEA English.
Lessons are for students from years 7 to 13.
