About Yiba
This is my 8th year teaching. I am very friendly and easy-going, I try to connect with students regarding their interests and hobbies, using it to their advantage in their schoolwork. I try to keep up to date with all of the technology, social media, current events and habits of young people, so that it makes them feel like they can trust me and feel that they are in good hands. Showing that I care is one my biggest strengths.

I like to get to know students and connect with them, making sure that they feel safe and comfortable. Then I approach lessons from the bottom up, helping them connect the dots and build confidence, one step at a time. I ensure that students are not left confused, but truly understand concepts before moving on.
For any given subject, after the objective is determined, practice is assigned, walking through with the student step-by-step until they are able to do it independently. Then I help check their work until they become self-sufficient. I am always there to help explain and clarify questions.
My lessons are any student in primary and intermediate grades.
