About Jason
I have worked with Koreans and Americans on several interpretation jobs, and have taught several employees of a Korean business to converse in business and casual English. My motive has always been about helping everyone and understanding that everyone has different methods that apply to them. This was especially true with the Korean business, as each employee had different personalities that needed several different methods, which I had to adjust. I do not keep a closed box when it comes to teaching, because I will do whatever necessary to help a student of mine to succeed in their goal to learn English.

I learned both Korean and English by having conversations with people, and I believe that is the best method. According to several studies, infants learn languages from statistical tracking, social context, and immersive input. This is how I will help teaching. Humans, according to several studies, are inclined to adapt as a person they consider a friend or mentor, which is also why my method is by becoming a close tutor such as a friend to help with conversational English.
My lesson plan will consist of free speaking, important grammar lessons (depending on language level), and opening session where the student will be able to open up about their week or things that are bothering them. Studies show that people who open up using the language they are learning helps recovering from depression, calms anxiety, and increases understanding in that language.
While other people focus on textbooks and classroom rules, I focus on social rules and interaction, which is the basis of creating and learning languages. I want you to enjoy English and understand how it helps you express your words to others who are not multilingual.
Anyone is welcome to join, because we can converse and study on all levels of proficiency. All rates are not final, and can be negotiated.
