About René
I am an editor and communications coordinator in the field of social and community work with over 30 years of experience. I have worked with people from different backgrounds and enjoy connecting and exchanging with others. I find it exciting hearing about people's backgrounds, interests, and learn about the world. At the same time, I support the development of students' confidence in the use of the language in the way they need it.

- My goal is to equip my students with the skills and confidence to achieve their goals, whether it is at work, university or in personal life.
- Learning should be interesting and exciting, therefore I use materials relevant to the students' interests and focus on the individual's needs.
- I am a native speaker and teacher of English and Afrikaans.
- In our first lesson, we set up our goals and materials we need, whether it is books or texts for reading, or topics and questions for speaking.
- I have a database of exercises and materials for a variety of skills and topics.
- We follow our plan and review our progress throughout our course.
- I aim to make my lessons engaging and inspiring, where students leave with a sense of achievement.
