About Maya
I am currently an A-level student studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Economics at Sixth Form. Having achieved 13 A*s in my GCSEs, I developed a strong work ethic that inspired me to share my learning and revision techniques with other students. I am adaptable and comfortable working with individuals who have different learning styles, tailoring lessons to suit each student's needs. Achieving top grades (8s and 9s/A*s) in GCSEs is highly attainable with the right study methods, and I am confident in my ability to guide you through effective strategies to help you succeed.

Having achieved straight A*s in my GCSEs, I have a good idea of what works and what doesn't.
My lessons are unique in the sense that they are completely based on the student's needs. Have a test? Let's go over that topic! General revision? Let's do it! My teaching is completely comprehensive, in the sense that it covers the GCSE specification by following the teacher's guide. This means that students are ready for anything that could come up in exams. I teach once a week with 30-60 minute sessions, directed towards students studying GCSE content (year 8 onwards). In my lessons I will teach the student a topic using resources that work best with the student, and clearing up any confusion with topic. Learning is consolidated by targeted past paper revision, which will be marked according to the mark scheme. I will assign short quizzes to ensure anything learnt in each lesson is retained over time. Lessons are conducted online using Google Meet, with webcams turned on to ensure focus remains throughout the session. The initial session will involve a work-style evaluation, which will help me tailor lessons according to the learning style of the student!
