About Gisela
I am an English teacher, who has also studied Psychology and Psychotherapy, as well as History and German and am happy to teach any one of these subjects. I have 30 years teaching experience, in three different countries and at levels ranging from junior school to university. What I like best about teaching is finding that point where my student is stuck or in need and finding a way to help them overcome that obstacle in their thinking and understanding.

I base my teaching on my students' needs. Understanding what they are struggling to understand on the one hand, and understanding their mind on the other and then finding a way to bring those two points closer together and help the student find a way forward with the material they are needing to work through. My own thorough grounding in the subject areas allows me to draw on a very wide range of teaching methods, based on many years of highly varying teaching experience, which included examining for various exam boards and so understanding that side of education very well, too.
