About Usha
In a career spanning thirty-five years, I have served as a teacher, lecturer and administrator in over a dozen educational institutions in three countries across the globe. My love of teaching has led me to develop and implement a unique approach in which classroom teaching combines hands-on, practicum-oriented learning with elements of the performing arts, including theatre, music and storytelling, to fire up students’ imaginations. In addition to academic knowledge and skills, this approach develops well-rounded characters built around a solid core of ethics. As an administrator, I have implemented novel initiatives and policies that have been instrumental in transforming under-achieving classes into 100%-result classes, and in exceeding school growth targets by as much as 500% (65 pupils to 950+ pupils in five years). I am deeply grateful that my journey in the realm of quality education has led me to connect with students, parents and fellow teachers alike, not just as an educator, but also as a friend, philosopher and guide.
