About Jennifer

I've earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education with a Marketing Minor from Weber State University. I also have a Master of Education in "Educational Technology". I am also a Certified Graphic Designer - certificate earned through Ogden-Weber Applied Tech College (OTech) I love helping students acquire new skills that are usable, practical, and can be used in the workplace. I love seeing how this builds confidence in my students and for them to know they have abilities that employers are looking for.

About the lesson

Would you like to learn how to create flyers, business cards, invitations, social media templates, resumes, or even create your own logo? Do you need to learn Microsoft Office like Excel or PowerPoint for your job? Do you need a refresher in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides? I would LOVE to help you with this! I've taught these subjects for 12 years at the middle school level. I will meet you where your skill level is at! I break these complex tasks into simple, easy-to-follow steps with clear instructions. If you think you can't learn computers, you're wrong! Everyone can follow along and get familiar with new technology. Through practice, patience, and my expertise, you will succeed! I will help you all along the way! I've helped students ages 12-15 at all skill levels, as well as adults who didn't grow up with computers. My style of teaching follows the "I do, We do, You do" method. My typical lesson plan includes a demonstration by me, showing you what to do. Then, we can do it together or you follow along as I demonstrate. Then you'll have an opportunity to put that into practice and test it out to see how you do, asking for help as needed. These programs and projects I teach are performance based so my goal is to help you be able to complete the task to create a product (flyer, logo, etc.) that you can be proud of and that meets the quality you expect or that your boss requires. I can't wait to work with you!
