About Patrick

I am a professor of philosophy, a specialist in the fields of metaphysics, politics and environmental ethics issues. I also have a long professional experience at the interface of science and environmental policies (biodiversity, climate, international negotiations ...). I held full-time consulting and expertise on emerging and strategic issues within the Ministry of Ecology from 2004 to 2017. In 2013, I participated in the creation at Sciences Po Paris of double Master's degree in Science and Environmental Policy, which I then accompanied for 3 years. I regularly speak at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris on the ethical issues and political conflicts associated with the relationships that our societies have with the "savage". I coordinated the setting up of the Portal of Environmental Humanities and helped to animate it by conducting long interviews filmed by more than a hundred researchers. At the ENS Lyon, I coordinate a new curriculum of teaching and training on the Anthropocene.

About the lesson

The course offers: - a technical assistance to the writing of research dissertations and theses (philosophy, public policies, sciences and environmental management), - a methodological preparation to the written and oral tests of the aggregation of philosophy ( dissertation, lesson) and the entry literary competition at the ENS for the Philosophy tests (joint program and specialty), - a training in the achievement of the summary notes for the entrance exams at Sciences Po, - a support for the preparatory literary classes. The course is adapted to the needs of the student. As part of the preparations for the competitions, a problematic approach of the subjects to the program is proposed and developed in essay and major lesson exercises.
