About Jessica

I have tutoring experience for students going in to sit the 11+, GCSE and A Level History and Philosophy & Ethics. In addition, I have taught various exam classes during my time as a Teacher - students have secured excellent grades and have gone on to pursue Higher Education. I teach the Edexcel GCSE and have experience (2 years) as an examinations marker working for the exam board, therefore I have a very good understanding of the requirements. I teach the following modules: - Medicine Through Time and The Western Front - Early Elizabethan England - The Cold War - Weimar and Nazi Germany For A Level I have experience teaching the AQA Exam Board, topics of which include: - Russian History - Weimar and Nazi Germany

About the lesson

I have ample experience working with students from aged 2-19; working in pre-schools, primary and secondary schools. I have experience in tutoring both History and Philosophy subjects for students completing A-Levels. I have taken part in NCS as a Team Leader and have worked in Girlguiding as a leader for almost 9 years. I am just entering my seventh year as a Teacher of History and within this time I have held various middle leadership roles. I am friendly, approachable and very organised. I help students to stay on top of their workload. I break lessons down into manageable amounts and set tasks suited to their abilities/needs as I recognise all students work differently and this should be taken into account. Most importantly, I try to ensure that my lessons are fun because learning should be enjoyable for students!
