About Ros
As an ex-teacher of several subjects, English, Business, and IT - an examiner for two exam boards, AQA and Edexcel, I have knowledge and experiences that have helped learners of all ages develop literacy strategies that enable faster progress.
This approach helps achieve higher grades across subjects.
I have successfully supported Year 12s and graduate learners online in the Caring system and helped Year 11s to achieve higher grades than predicted across subjects, using literacy strategies learnt whilst working with Lexonik.co.uk, a company now sponsored by DfE to support Post 16 learners retaking English Language and to develop whole school staff learning to ensure everyone uses the same techniques.
As a College Governor, I was able to use my various experiences and qualifications to support the team working towards a better Ofsted Grade.

All age groups can be catered for as I have diverse qualifications and experiences with over 25 years' experience.
I offer sessions of one hour and first check out present levels of writing, reading and literacy across subjects, asking for some written work in order to diagnose gaps, discuss future options, interests and aptitudes.
I then ask what aspects are causing most stress or difficulty and plan the best way forward to make faster progress, time available and how learning best takes place.
My qualifications are a BEd (English and Education), an MA in Voc Ed, a Certificate/Diploma Credits in Careers Advice & Guidance, A Diploma in Education Performance and City & Guilds TDLB 32, 33 and 34 with Key Skills Training in ITC. I am a Certified Entrepreneurship Teacher for NFTE Programmes too.
I have Certs for DBS, Safeguarding Advanced, Prevent for Governors, and Making Good Progress in one-to-one Tuition.
I worked for the TDA as an Advocate, completed Morrisby Profile Training and did a Level A British Psychological Society course in use of occupational ability tests.
