About Kim
I have 9 years experience teaching English Language and Literature, as well as more recently marking for GCSE exam boards.
I take a nurturing approach to teaching, where I am able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their best and reach their potential, whilst removing barriers to learning. I am trained in teaching students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH. Every lesson is tailored to the student's needs and areas in which they feel they need to develop their skills, so that students feel more confident going into exams.

I am a Teacher of English Language and Literature and a GCSE Marker / Examiner.
I am trained in both primary and secondary Key Stage teaching, with a strong knowledge of both curriculums and current syllabuses. I am also trained in phonics and fresh start teaching for students who struggle with literacy and reading / writing.
I possess a strong knowledge of GCSE English Language and Literature and understand what the the exam boards are looking for.
I am also trained in teaching Key Stage 2 SATS prep.
I am able to encourage, nurture and enthuse students in learning, and I tailor each individual lesson to the needs of the student so that they can get the most out of every lesson to achieve their potential. I am able to offer lessons online, bringing the classroom environment to students through virtual platforms. Lessons are booked for one hour at a time.
