About Caitlin

I have been working as a Teacher at a further education college for 4 years, teaching Childcare and Health and Social care to a variety of Level 1, 2 and 3 students aged 16+.
Prior to teaching, I worked 4 years as an Academic coach/personal tutor also in a further education college.
I have a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and have worked previously in nursery settings as an Early Years Practitioner. I also have experience working in a Children's Centre and as a Community Childrens Support Worker.
My favourite part about my job as a teacher is inspiring young people to get out there and find a career that they truly love and are passionate about. I genuinely believe that everyone has the capacity to learn something new, it just might take a few tries! I am very patient and feedback from previous students is that I am very good at explaining tasks and breaking down information. I am in my early 30s, so a whizz with IT, experience teaching on Teams and setting/delivering work online.

About the lesson

I can tailor lessons to suit your needs, depending on what type of learner you are and any additional learning needs you may have. I am happy to do online sessions, but if you are local in Northampton, I am also happy to do in person sessions if that suits better and petrol costs are covered.
I have most experience working with Level 1 and 2 students aged 16+ studying a CACHE qualification.
My teaching would suit anyone studying Health and Social care or Childcare as a GCSE or as a Level 1/2/3 course at college.
I am able to offer 1hr or 1hr30min sessions, preferably weekday evenings, but can discuss flexibility for weekdays/weekends. I currently work part time as a Childcare/Health & Social care teacher 3 days a week.

Sessions are:
£15 - 1 hour
£22 - 1hr 30mins
Travel costs begin at £5 and locations vary (Northampton only)

Details

Teaching can be delivered online or at the students home/agreed place to meet e.g Coffee shop.
First session will be to go over what it is you are hoping to achieve, learning needs, subject requirements and your strengths/weaknesses. The first session is 45mins and is free of charge.
