About Max

I learned programming in 2012-2013, through self-study and bootcamp-style programs. I worked as a full-stack (but backend-focused) developer at a number of small startups, mainly doing Ruby on Rails. In my current role, I do a lot of 3D automation and geometry-related work. As a hobby, I enjoy making electronic music, creating digital art in Photoshop, Houdini, and Touch Designer, and running a small printing studio for stickers, posters, and T-shirts.

About the lesson

I can teach you the basics of programming from zero, or help you with software architecture as you build larger applications. I can also help you understand how to navigate the world of open-source software and AI-assisted coding. Ultimately I want you to have the skills required to build anything you want to.

Topics of expertise range from system automation and self-hosting to full-stack development including databases, application servers, and front-ends. In addition to 3D, music, and digital art related topics, if you're interested.

I am a patient teacher and pride myself on cutting to the chase; I'll give you the essentials succinctly and will gladly answer any questions you have on the way.

Personally I am a person who learns best by asking questions and discourse, so I am well prepared for this learning style (which I believe is rather rare). I don't expect you to memorize anything I teach; the most important thing is to understand the concepts completely.
