I teach Latin at levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 (going by UWA levels) for students in Perth. I have experience tutoring at Kumon for 4 years and privately for 3 years. I have completed up to Honours Latin.

About Kayla
I have just completed a Bachelor of Philosophy majoring in English and Literary Studies, and Classics and Ancient History, with Honours in English and Literary Studies at the University of Western Australia in 2024. I completed my Honours in creative writing with a focus on representations of autistic people in prose fiction. I completed ATAR methods, literature, modern history, psychology, physics, and human biology, and got an ATAR of 99.55, and a general exhibition ranking of 28th. I won the 2021 award for beginners Latin at UWA (along with 3 others), scoring 100% in Latin 1, and finished on 98% in both Latin 2 and the equivalent of Latin 3 that I did on a semester exchange in the United States. I completed Latin 4 last year with a mark of 85% and have just finished the Honours level Latin class. I am a writer and have self-published three novels on Amazon and Kindle.

Sessions typically last an hour per week. Students can either provide their own work, which I would help them through for the hour, hence guiding the session themselves, or if they would prefer, they can tell me what they want to work on that week, and I will design a lesson for that. Through tutoring at Kumon for 4 years and privately for 3 years, I have found that both work, depending on what the student wants to get out of it.
