About Gaby
I originally hail from Germany but relocated to South Africa in the 70s. I am currently retired from the hospitality and tourism industry, and I now pursue my interests as a ceramicist and photographer. I reside near the beach on the West Coast of South Africa, accompanied by my faithful dog and African Grey parrot. My passion lies in delving into diverse cultures and sharing my language skills, as well as providing support to older students and business professionals to enhance their confidence in English communication. I have a deep affection for African wildlife, nature, and exploring the bush.

My lessons are in conversational English meant for intermediate adults. Casually and calmly, I begin by asking them about their interests to discover the contexts in which they will need to converse. By inquiring about their background, special interests, and hobbies, I can determine what is most relevant for them. Instead of overwhelming them with grammar, which can be confusing. I also offer assistance in various practical areas, such as preparing for job interviews or business meetings, helping with the composition of personal or business letters, addressing tourism-related conversations, facilitating small talk
