Mr. Pavuk was my biology teacher in college, he was one of the very few the remembered your name even years after you had a course with him! He's so nice and genuine and really just gives off great gives. 10/10 would take another class of his is a heartbeat
Dr. Dan Pavuk, did a terrific job of motivating students and teaching courses at BGSU. Positive and enlightened, his explanations are detailed and complete. He strives to understand other people's points of view and respect those views. He hides the wear and tear on his person in doing his job, hence not a whiner by any means, nor does he complain or blame people. He uses his teaching time to discuss science in an upbeat tempo & an open mindset towards learning. Many institutions of higher learning would be very fortunate to have his talent and positive approach. He stands out as one of the best teachers I have ever had, and one of the best at BGSU.
I had Dr. Pavik for animal physiology. Excellent instructor. Take good notes, ask questions, and communicate. A+
He was a fantastic professor during my undergraduate career, I had him for several biology courses including parasitology and BIO 2050. Charming, friendly, approachable, funny, quirky, and compassionate are all words I'd use to describe Dr. Pavuk. Heavily recommend.
Dan is a fantastic guy and a great teacher. His laid back style and true desire for you to understand the topic make him very easy to learn from. Dan was one of my favorite professors and I look back on my time learning from him fondly.
I was a grad student at BGSU and interacted with Dan through courses and seminars. I wish someone had told me, "When Dan offers a class, take it." Dan's good at making complex concepts accessible.
Most flexible, accommodating, helpful, and understanding prof out there! Made my research journey practically painless and was able to provide insightful recommendations on all the ways I could turn in the best report possible. Highly recommend
Daniel is one of the most caring and dedicated professors I have ever had. He truly cares to make sure you understand material and will do whatever necessary to explain things in a way you understand. I have taken multiple classes and done research with Daniel and throughout those times he did whatever necessary to help me. Beyond the course work he has served as a reference for me for jobs and is an amazing person.
Daniel Pavuk is an excellent speaker and entomologist. Dan gave presentations to the Bowling Green Tree Board educational seminars to the green industry professionals and general public. I worked with Dan on forest insect research in Wintergarden Park in Bowling Green, Ohio where I formerly worked as the Municipal Arborist from 2004-2016. He was an academic advisory to undergraduate students in Biology Department at BGSU. I highly recommend Dan for biology lessons. David S. Bienemann, Municipal Arborist, Hamilton, Ohio.
