About Alex
I am a journalist working locally for a regional newspaper.
I attained a 2:1 in Linguistics as my undergraduate at Nottingham Trent University, before gaining a Masters in Journalism at the University of Sheffield.
I have been playing, reading and performing for more than 15 years, making it a great passion of mine.
In the pursuit of my musicality, I have managed to achieve a distinction in grade 8 piano forte (LCM), and a merit in grade 5 theory.
I have had a handful of experiences by performing in concerts to family, friends and piano enthusiasts, allowing me to build my confidence.

Having the same piano teacher for 15 years and performing to her students, this has allowed me to become their role model.
This inspired me to show what a little bit of dedication, time and effort can do for the talented students you teach. This is why I will dedicate my time and effort to you, as my pupil.
Learning from my teacher, it is also good to be flexible. That’s why I have allowed lessons to be achieved in that way.
Whether that means at the music centre, at your house or via webcam, there is an option which suits you.
I am open to providing lessons for beginners through to intermediates (grade 8) from 30 minutes to an hour, with a rate of £25 (per hour), allowing you to aspire to get the most out of them.
I have previously taught a handful of students, allowing them to attain destinations in a number of different grades.
Whether It is free playing or exam preparation, I am comfortable with teaching, classical, pop music, theory and any song which excites you!
Being a new aspiring young student and piano teacher, I find it easy to connect with pupils in the same age range, allowing their talents to blossom through their hard work and dedication.
