Hi! Im JOY! Mabuhay! oh i love that word! So gleeful! feels like a resurrection hahaha!
I live in the Philippines. I'm A motivated and passionate student pursuing BA in Sociology at the Mariano Marcos State University. I have my own apartment, still getting used to the adulting life. My hobbies are reading about politics, worldly issues and fiction, I watch rom-com movies and animated cartons, fashion, make up, nail art, baking, research, study, listening to music, journaling, volunteering in my community, painting, and drawing, and a bunch of things. I would say I collect hobbies! I take pride in about teaching myself anything, Im student at heart and connecting with students who want to learn my most love language is a gift. One thing I love about tutoring is I get to honor my mother tongue and make someone fall in love with Tagalog as much as I do. Seeing my students learn and apply their knowledge gives me so much satisfaction and joy that they get to enjoy my mother tongue with other by committing to learn it with me. It excites me to prepare learning materials and lessons necessary for their fluency and conversations in the future. In teaching or studying pretty much anything I firmly Believe in the Philosophy of "Slowly but Surely" I will be taking my time for my students and make sure I attend to their questions and be on there side within every step of the learning process. I am EXCITED and GEEKED! to share my favorite filipino poem, alamats ( fables), epics, music and a lot more!

About the lesson

In my college year I expanded my horizons and said yes to new opportunities to show case my talent and my love for our language. I would be encourage by my mentors and teachers to join contest such as Spoken Poetry, Essay writing, journalism, Broadcasting, Balagtasan (debate team), and acting/impromptu speaking. I read sociological filipino books, Write filipino poems in wattpad, support independent filipino creatives who unapologetically embrace and express themselves to write and create art using the filipino language, ranging from music, to articles, to vlogs, and etc. I continue to explore ways I could honor my beloved mother tongue.
