About Erica
"Teaching chess began as a natural extension of my analytical background after completing my Master of Science in Mathematics. Strategy is a game of logic.
During 5 years of practice, I have helped 272 students master king safety and board vision. Positional understanding and pattern recognition are key components of my curriculum.
Tactical patterns and game analysis form the basis of our work. Students learn recording and notation, middlegame planning, and attacking play. I look forward to helping you improve your game with my calm guidance."

"True improvement in chess comes from ignoring the engine evaluation and thinking for yourself. This counterintuitive approach forces the mind to calculate deeply during the 7 hour module. My Master of Science in Mathematics informs how I break down complex positions for students of all levels. We examine specific tactical patterns to build your intuition.
