About Yara
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering with a Guitar focus and have been teaching guitar for more than 5 years. Jazz and blues improvisation is my specialty, and I love helping students create music that’s uniquely their own. My lessons cover modal scales, arpeggios, dominant seventh theory, and bebop phrasing while nurturing expressive freedom.
I provide lessons that are supportive, engaging, and tailored to individual goals. I’ve worked with school students, hobbyists, and professional musicians, helping intermediate and advanced players prepare for gigs and recordings. My approach blends technique, theory, and creativity for maximum musical growth.
Improvisation is more than learning patterns—it’s developing a personal musical voice. Every lesson focuses on building confidence and expressive ability. Let’s embark on a journey where your guitar becomes a tool for spontaneous, meaningful musical expression.

I teach guitar with a clear, structured method that builds reading skills for any level. Lessons include tablature, standard notation, rhythm, and sight-reading exercises. Each lesson is designed to reinforce understanding step by step.
I guide “The Classical Purist” and “The Jazz Explorer” in reading music fluently and expressively. We combine technical exercises with practical application, including melodies, chords, and rhythmic patterns. Students gradually gain confidence in reading increasingly complex pieces.
Sight-reading practice is a key part of lessons, helping students approach new music with ease. Rhythm notation and timing are emphasized in every session. I also focus on connecting reading skills to improvisation and performance.
My goal is to make music reading clear, enjoyable, and practical. Together, we unlock the richness of written music for every guitarist.
