About Lina

I am a Carnegie Mellon University graduate with a passion for helping students grow into confident, capable writers and communicators. I enjoy creating supportive and engaging learning environments where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building their skills. My experience working with diverse learners has taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and personalized instruction. I specialize in grammar, essay writing, reading comprehension, and academic writing support, and I strive to make each lesson interactive, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals.

About the lesson

I take an interactive and personalized approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to a student’s individual goals, strengths, and learning style. I support students in grammar, essay writing, reading comprehension, and overall communication skills through collaborative practice, guided feedback, and engaging discussion.

A typical lesson may include reviewing assignments, strengthening writing structure, practicing editing techniques, and building confidence through targeted exercises and conversation. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating. My tutoring is ideal for elementary through college-level students seeking individualized English support and stronger academic writing skills.
