About Edward
My name is Edward, and I am a BHSc student with a strong interest in biology, biochemistry, and related sciences. Alongside my academic background, I also have professional experience in UX and graphic design, which has strengthened my ability to communicate ideas clearly, present information in an organized way, and adapt explanations to different learning styles.
I take tutoring seriously and always aim to create a supportive, professional, and encouraging learning environment. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to match each student’s needs, pace, and goals. Whether a student wants help strengthening the basics, keeping up with coursework, or building confidence before exams, I focus on making lessons clear, structured, and personalized.
My background in both science and design allows me to approach teaching with clarity and empathy. I am especially attentive to how information is explained, organized, and understood, which helps students feel less overwhelmed by difficult material. I am reliable, patient, and detail-oriented, and I care about helping students not only improve academically but also develop stronger study habits and confidence in their abilities.

My name is Edward, and I offer tutoring in biology, biochemistry, and related health sciences subjects for high school and early university students who want a clearer understanding, stronger study habits, and more confidence in class.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and personalized. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simpler steps, then helping students connect ideas instead of just memorizing facts. I adjust lessons based on each student’s level, goals, and learning style, whether they need help keeping up with coursework, reviewing difficult topics, or preparing for exams.
A typical lesson usually starts with identifying the student’s main challenges or goals for the session. From there, we work through concepts together with clear explanations, guided practice, review questions, and study strategies that help reinforce understanding. I also like to help students build effective ways to study independently, such as active recall, concept mapping, and step-by-step review methods.
