About Jenny

After nearly 40 years' experience in HR both within the NHS and hospitality industries, I'm now fulfilling a lifelong ambition to teach as a semi-retiree. I have seen the importance of precise and beautiful language and I think that establishing good habits early is key. I've always valued a caring, patient and supportive approach. Informally teaching English to staff was particularly rewarding. Just like learning English, technique within interviews is the key to success. I have conducted countless interviews over the years, throughout different disciplines and levels of seniority. It has been a pleasure to see those I've helped go on to achieve their ambitions. In terms of professional achievements, I was the youngest HR director in England for the NHS and the first HR professional to be on an NHS hospital board. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development (it's highest level) and Member of the Institute of Directors. I have a Master's in Employment law and completed a fortnight Executive course at Samford University (as the only woman!). I was seconded to the set up HR as a professional function within the civil service, as a senior civil servant. In my later career I went on to own and run a luxury hotel; a member of the prestigious Relais Chateaux (a group of the top 500 boutique hotels in the world). It would be an absolute pleasure to teach your child or help you get the job of your dreams. I look forward to us being in touch!
