About Katherine
Have served as a mentor and tutor for college students, providing one-on-one counseling for career planning, job search, and job tests/interview preparation since 2016. Obtained a BA in History from Williams College, MSc in Statecraft and National Security Affairs from the Institute for World Politics, MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Certificate of Continuing Education from the Said Business School, Oxford University in Entrepreneurship and Venture Finance. Previously worked as Director of Operations for a cybersecurity start-up providing customized training and education solutions to C-Suite executives as well as cyber awareness training for organizations.

I ensure that tutoring is aligned with school curriculum/student's goals and base my lessons on the individual student's unique learning style. Before tutoring begins I work with students, and as appropriate their parents, to understand any special concerns, and then establish clear goals and milestones to ensure progress toward intended outcome. Special focus on building independent, critical-thinking skills and confidence.
