About Dakota
"Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from the University of Bristol gave me a rigorous foundation in linguistic theory. I remember sitting in my final exams thinking about how these complex grammar structures would eventually serve my own pupils.
Having taught 252 students over 9 years of experience, I recognise that language learning is rarely a linear path. My expertise covers both Castilian and Latin American variants, which I explain through the lens of my PGCE training. I enjoy working on vocabulary building and writing skills to ensure your Spanish feels authentic. My style is conversational and adaptive, often incorporating small asides about the cultural nuances that textbooks frequently miss.
I find that building a rapport makes the difficult parts of grammar much easier to digest. You can expect a collaborative environment where your individual voice is always prioritised."

"Fluency arrives when you stop translating in your head and start thinking in the language itself. Sometimes I admit that the subjunctive mood is just as tricky for me to explain as it is for you to grasp. We will navigate this together through structured listening practice and high-stakes role play simulations. I utilise my PGCE background to ensure our sessions remain grounded in proven educational methodology.
For those targeting the DELE exam, we focus on rigorous test strategies and time management. Working professionals often find the quick transition to business Spanish scenarios particularly useful for their daily tasks.
